History

Newport Development, LLC was organized in 2003 as a successor to a previous partnership, Paces Development. Principals Robert Krause and Richard Stephens had worked together for many years before forming Newport along with John A. Williams, founder and Chairman Emeritus of Post Properties, Inc. with whom Mr. Krause had worked with at Post beginning in the early 1980’s. Since that time, Newport has continued to develop some of the most successful apartment and condominium properties in the marketplace.
